This may be the position for you. Nelson Laboratories, Inc. is a contract Microbiology testing lab. We work with some of the top medical device and pharmaceutical companies in the world, including many fortune 500 companies.

Duties: |
A Laboratory Analyst in Hospital Reprocessing will be performing steriliation validations for reusable medical devices which would include the following items:
• Working with organisms, sterilizers, and sometimes needles.
• Simulating hospital practices for sterilization methods associated with each type of device tested.
• Extracting and testing the devices for viable organisms.
• Following a protocol correctly and efficiently.
• Programming a sterilizer proficiently.
• Proper use of aseptic technique.
• Lifting 20+ pounds on a regular basis.
• Taking ownership of testing and performance from start to finish and recording data concurrently.
• Putting together spreadsheets, preliminary results, and clean up at the completion of testing.
• Due to the complexity of this testing, working with the Study Directors on problem solving is a very important aspect of this position

Qualifications: |
Successful candidates must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, and must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Positions require an Associate Degree or High School diploma and one year applicable laboratory experience (B.S. preferred).
Hours are Monday – Friday from 8/9:00AM –5/6:00PM with some flexibility. A few hours on some weekends may be required/available.
This position requires successful completion of a drug test and criminal background check.
