JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this position are for the daily administration of multiple high performance iSCSI SAN infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NetApp (or equivalent) storage devices in a 24x7x365 SaaS production data center setting. Additionally the successful candidate will already be an accomplished systems administrator in a Microsoft Server 2003/2008 environment.

Duties: |
Required Qualifications:
• 1-2 years administering a SAN environment in a production data center setting including experience with:
o SAN device installation and configuration (preference on NetApp experience)
o Storage provisioning
o Scheduled volume snapshots and replication
o Scheduled database backups/restores via NetApp SQL Snap manager
• Manage SAN capacity, utilization and performance using appropriate reporting and monitoring tools
• Assist in defining storage policies, requirements, management and overall storage strategy
• Sustain operations in a 24x7x365 highly available production data center setting, adhering to existing policies on change & incident management
• Experience managing and ensuring data integrity, providing backups and contingency planning for multiple TB’s of data
• 3-4 years experience as a systems administrator with a firm understanding of Microsoft Server 2003/2008 systems in a 30+ server data center setting
• 3-4 years experience with TCP/IP networks (Layer 2 / Layer 3 switch configurations using VLANS, spanning tree protocols, SNAT, trunking, QoS)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous NetApp and iSCSI experience
• Experience with VMware, Juniper Networks devices and HP Blade Servers
• MS SQL Server experience
• Automation scripting experience

Qualifications: |
Education, Skills and Experience Required:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• 3-5 years experience working in a structured production data center environment
• MSCE/CCNA and other industry certifications are a big plus
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions that ensure quick resolution of events and provide recommendations and expertise to enhance system performance and availability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines and objectives
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong desire to research and determine unique, yet appropriate ways, to integrate new technologies into an existing infrastructure
• Some travel required (5% - 10%)
• Some on-call work
