| The Derivatives Confirms Technology team develops and maintains applications and technology infrastructure for workflow and document generation functionality. This globally deployed multi-tier system is developed in C++/Java, uses Sybase and UDB databases, and incorporates diverse technologies such as asynchronous OBJ/RV/DF messaging, XML generation and parsing, and MS Word/Outlook automation, runs on Solaris, Linux, and Windows server platforms. Additional ancillary applications include Java web applications, data services using resonance framework, and Business Objects reporting. Our platform, CCT (Common Confirm Tracking), is currently used by Commodities, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Interest Rates, Credit, Mortgages, Bank Loans and Futures middle office and operations users and is likely expand to further businesses in the future. Our team is located across New York, Bangalore, London, and Tokyo. |
Duties: |
Heavy investment continues to be made in automating the confirmation process through electronic matching initiatives and adding additional controls around manual workflows. Additional regulatory scrutiny of the Derivatives businesses has added to the importance and time sensitivity around confirmation workflows.
Role Summary
-Learn Confirms system and architecture including: confirm generation, rules and state transition processing, document filing and transmission, external system connectivity
-Collaboratively work with global operational users and IT teams to develop new features for Confirms application as well as to analyze, support and fix existing system issues
-Engage in system re-architecture and re-engineering efforts
-Participate in design / code reviews and enforce best practices

Qualifications: |
As a member of the team supporting global clients, a successful candidate will be a self starter and highly motivated individual with strong analytical, technical, interpersonal skills and ability to quickly learn and adapt to dynamic business environment. Good communication skills are very important as role requires interaction with global client base and global technology team.
-Analyst/Developer with 2-6 years experience.
-Strong team player with sense of ownership and initiative
-Experience in software life cycle
-OO Analysis and design and familiarity with message based architectures
-Strong C/C++ and/or JAVA
-UNIX with Perl and/or UNIX scripting
-Sybase
Benefits:
Salary Range: $80-90K
