We are looking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team. The primary objective for this candidate will be to provide senior level network support for all clients, as well as proactive service delivery for all server and network systems. This role is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction in every step of problem resolution through responding to tickets created by the Help Desk and automated system alerts. |
Duties: |
| The Senior Systems Engineer will have significant knowledge and experience in hardware/software/network concepts, tools, and support best practices. .
This position will be responsible for participating in an integrated team of service delivery professionals. This team may consist of Help Desk Technicians, system and network engineers, and IT Managers. Working within this team approach is critical to the success of this position and communication between and across teams is critical to providing the client with a superior service. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: |
Qualifications: |
| · Education and Soft Skills
o B.S. in Computer Science preferred
o Good oral and written communication skills
o Exceptional analytic and problem solving skills
o Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
o Ability to work successfully with an integrated support team
· Technical Skills
o Windows 2008 Server Technology Specialist or MCSE 2003
o Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or equivalent
o 4+ years experience with VMware and Virtualization Technology
o 5+ years supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2003
o 5+ years supporting Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2003
o 2+ years supporting Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2005
o 5+ years experience with Microsoft desktop O/S and Office applications
o 5+ years experience with Server and PC Hardware
o 5+ years experience with Switches, Routers and Firewalls
o 5+ years experience with Data Backup Systems
o 5+ years experience with IP Networks, DNS and Routing
o 3+ years experience with SNMP and WMI
o 3+ years experience with Network Monitoring and Management Tools
o Experience with Anti-virus, Anti-spyware, Content Filtering Software
o Experience with Linux Servers a plus
