Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

To help lead Mountain America Credit Union’s efforts to effectively enter the social media space, both corporate and client facing.

Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully.

•Create and implement social media strategies that drive bottom line ROI
•Create, update and manage company and client-facing online communities to include Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
•Write and distribute social media postings, email blasts, newsletter articles, articles of interest, and press releases
•Monitor and respond based on defined strategies other industry-related Blogs, and social media
•Write copy to support all communication efforts (blog, website, eNewsletters)
•Actively engaged in the social media space
•Set up campaign calendars, create weekly progress reports and campaign summary reports
• Meet daily/weekly with shareholders and/or clients to discuss trends, postings, article reviews, etc.
•Write copy to enhance existing SEO/SEM strategies
•Work closely with the marketing and pr teams to develop the overall look and feel of communication materials, blogs, etc.
•Coordinate and manage regular webinar series as needed
•Other public relations duties include community presentations on financial literacy and other financial topics as required.

Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Experience
Ten years of solid writing, editing, strategic communications, marketing communications and management experience. Five years of successful social media development. Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing

Education
Four-year college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree; A Master’s Degree in English, Communications, Marketing Communications, Advertising, Online Marketing, Business or equivalent.

Computer/Office Equipment Skills
Knowledge of html, expert in Microsoft Office Suite required. Proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, preferred but not required.

Managerial Responsibility
Has no supervisory/managerial responsibilities

Interpersonal Skills
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Language Skills
Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form.

Other Skills and Abilities
This position requires a deep understanding of social media strategies, social media protocol, solid judgment, financial literacy, and the ability to monitor social media networks for potential opportunities as well as measure results. Proactive, self starter, self manager, and tenacity in finding solutions to problems. Highly creative, energetic and imaginative with strong conceptual skills. Effective time management skills required; ability to organize and prioritize efficiently. Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments.
