Description:

PUCHASING:
• Responsible for purchasing activities related to the procurement of materials, parts, office/business supplies, equipment and services for the company.
• Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory and finished goods, packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner.
• Reviews receipt of materials to ensure the quality of materials received are correct.
• Develops, implements and maintains standard operating procedures for purchasing compliance to the quality system.
• Evaluates and performs continuous improvements methods to streamline and improve the procurement system.
• Evaluates vendor reliability, develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate.
• Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures.
• Maintains Approved Vendor List and vendor surveys.
• Monitors cost and schedule to assure best quality at best value.
• Maintain compliance to the company’s Quality Systems.

PLANNING
• Plans, implements and maintains activities related to raw materials and finished goods.
• Plans production schedules and facilitates the movement of product through to finished goods. This includes writing, routing and resolving non-comformances and deviations.
•Schedules and tracks RMA to move returned product through to resolution.
•Reviews and plans material requirements to meet production schedules and ensure inventory levels are maintained and/or products are shipped on time.
•Sets up metrics and performs trending to measure the efficiency of the operations systems, especially as it pertains to throughput.
•Evaluates and performs continuous improvements methods to streamline and improve throughput.
•Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures.
•Assist in implementing and maintaining the MRP system
•Maintain compliance to the company’s Quality Systems.

4.Shortage/ Excess inventory status
5.Restock returned materials
6.Cycle counts
7.Purchasing and shipping
8.Nonconformance reports and deviations as required
9.Performs other assignments as required by the Management.

Qualifications:

Education Level:
•Bachelor’s degree

Professional Certifications:
•CPIM preferred
•Lean manufacturing preferred
•Six sigma preferred

Experience Required:
•3-5 years purchasing/planning
•Must have worked with MRP systems
