This candidate will be working in our Salt Lake City, Utah location.
Reporting to the Computational Programmer, this position is responsible to manage the servers and desktop applications supporting drug discovery. The job requires excellent communication, multi-tasking, problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills.
The successful candidate will be part of a systems administration team that supports and maintains a heterogeneous network of Microsoft Windows and Linux servers and services. The team supports and maintains a large Linux cluster, relational databases, web servers, networking equipment, antivirus solution, backup services and infrastructure, PC based laboratory instrumentation and telecommunication services.

Duties: |
• Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software packages
• Setup and maintain Windows and Linux servers
• Troubleshoot and maintain the networking infrastructure
• Manage backup and recovery services
• Document all network and hardware changes as well as any new processes

Qualifications: |
• B.S. in computer science and/or the physical sciences with 4-6 years experience is preferred, but years of experience will be considered in lieu of B.S.
• Expertise in the following technologies is a plus: Microsoft Windows 2003-2008 server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Cisco networking equipment, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL server, Apache, Tomcat, Symantec backup and recovery software, Symantec Antivirus services, and Microsoft Office
