Ancestry’s FP&A organization is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the team. The position will be responsible for a wide range of projects in support of business decisions and management reporting requirements for Senior Management. In this role, you will analyze financial data, compile reports and prepare recommendations to management. You will participate in developing forecasts, creating budget comparisons and other financial reports. The key candidate will have well-established financial modeling skills, a firm understanding of finance and accounting concepts, superb analytical abilities and excellent business partnering skills.
What You'll Do:Provide financial analysis that is necessary to drive growth and operational efficiencies including; month end processing, management review of budget vs. actual results and trend analysisCommunicate financial and accounting information and trends to the senior leadership team to ensure that real-time business decisions can be made based on sound financial dataPartner with accounting to ensure that expenses are recorded accuratelyDrive continual process improvementsAd-hoc analysis as required
Who You Are:BS required. Degree in Finance or Accounting preferredExperience with investment banking or investor relations strongly preferred1-3 years of financial analysis and forecasting experienceAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsAbility to work independently in a fast paced environmentExperience with IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 or comparable technologyStrong analytic and accounting skillsAbility to meet deadlines with high attention to detailExcellent oral/written communication skills
