We are looking for a proven Senior Web Analytics Engineer to join the Behavior TrackingTeam, a development team responsible for tracking user behavior.
You would work with industry-leading engineers to invent new ways to make Ancestry.com faster, more fun, and easier for people to discover their family history and unique insights about themselves and their family that can only be enabled through our world-class technology. You will help different development teams implement web analytic tracking code throughout their websites and applications, perform quality checks to ensure that the implementation work has been completed successfully, and diagnose and solve technical issues when they arise.

What you'll do...

  • Design, Develop, and maintain User tracking and analytics solutions across all Ancestry products using tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, TealiumIQ, and MixPanel 
  • Working with the Product Manager to design future Tracking and Web Analytics solutions 
  • Lead offshore resources that help with development and testing as part of an agile team.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses to identify tracking issues
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders around Web Analytics and Tracking Requirements
  • Develop and maintain code libraries and documentation

  • Who you are...

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with web analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and Mixpanel.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with any enterprise tag management tools (Tealium, Ensighten, Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager).
  • Solid experience with HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and basic computer programming
  • Hands on experience with Chrome Dev tools
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Understanding of software development processes, patterns, and principles
  • Ability to provide clear code documentation and processes
  • Content Management System, Targeting, Segmentation and Personalization full-stack development experience
  • Experience in NodeJS, ReactJS, AngularJS etc.
