Senior Program Manager - Job Description
We’re looking for a highly autonomous Program Manager with 7+ years experience to work from our Lehi, Utah office. This role works closely with Product and Engineering leadership, managers, and scrum masters as well as works with engineering, design, analytics, and other key team members to deliver innovative, cross-functional, timely features to customers. This role also emphasizes, coordinates, and communicates team improvement, predictability, transparency and works to identify and overcome delivery roadblocks in a complex, cross-functional environment. Preferred candidates are expected to have great experience and familiarity with agile methodologies, scrum, building relationships, and working with teams to improve. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in project and program management with a keen understanding of team dynamics, product development/engineering, and product management. Strong communication skills are also essential in coordinating across several multi-disciplinary teams toward unified product and feature releases.
The successful candidate will not only be responsible for managing multiple product development projects but will also drive delivery execution and broader cross organizational change initiatives as well as:
Ensure timely delivery of products and features by working with software engineering teams and by developing processes that improve predictability and transparency to dependencies and risk, and ensure that teams are working together efficiently to overcome roadblocks
Lead the process to help key stakeholders understand dependencies and trade-offs throughout the product development process
Ensure informed decisions and governance by bringing together stakeholders and providing a unified view of project status and risk factors
Work closely with cross-functional teams including UX Design, Product Management, Software Engineering, Marketing, PR, Finance, Legal and Customer Support through the product development and platform deployment processes.
Establish and extend best practice enterprise-wide by continuously iterating on program management processes and capturing best practices
B.S. or B.A. degree preferredScrum master, Advanced Scrum Master certification or other SAFe agile certifications preferred. Strong understanding of technology including Mobile technologies preferred.
Must have 7+ years of related software program and/or software product management experience, leading large cross-functional efforts with a proven track record of shipping awesome products.
