You will work with massive datasets and have the opportunity to shape the vision and strategic role of Product Analytics. You will work closely with members of Product, Marketing, Data Science, and Engineering teams to define and report on key metrics, analyze customer behaviors/data, optimize our products and content and build tools/services to improve Analytics productivity.
Understand patterns and trends in customer behavior and engagement and identify product opportunitiesCollaborate as a subject-matter expert in the Bayesian/Non-Bayesian design of experiments with the objective of increasing the trustworthiness of our experimentation effort.Actively work with members of other product departments (Product, Consumer Research, Marketing Analytics, Data Science) in researching issues and reflecting the findings of those researches on the product’s roadmap.Work with Data Engineering departments and Data Warehouse team in order to develop core data sets that promote accurate product analysesWork closely with the Product Engineers in order to rapidly design experimental products and iterate on the results in your domainStand as an expert and role model for collaboration within the product analytics team as well as across teams of various functions.
Who you are…
4+ years of demonstrated experience at senior level analyzing product and content user behavior for online consumer software products, e.g. online shopping, social site, streaming services, gaming, etc.4+ years of experience in data science fundamentals: Analyzing very large datasets with SQL (Redshift, Teradata, Oracle, or MySQL), R, SAS, or other statistical packages.Using/implementing data tracking for user behaviorProficiency in either Python or R.Knowledgeable of causal inference and able to judge if a given analysis violates any rules in causal inferenceKnowledgeable in Bayesian statistics and familiar with its applications in experiment designExcellent written and verbal communication skills on quantitative topicsBachelor's Degree in Statistics, Operation Research, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or a quantitative disciplineMasters/Ph.D. preferred.Strong research and analytical mindset and extremely detail-oriented
