This role will focus on delivering customer value through integrating data science and machine learning into the Ancestry.com platform. This role will be responsible for driving continued customer value through one of the most unique data sets in the world. You will work with industry-leading data scientists and engineers to make the Ancestry experience faster, easier, and more fun for people to uncover unique discoveries about themselves and their families.As a member of the Genealogy Product Team, you will lead by identifying product opportunities, creating a vision and roadmap, validating that vision through rapid prototyping, and partnering across the organization to bring your vision to market. This position requires an analytical mindset that can turn big problems into simple, scalable solutions. While this is largely a technical position, you must understand and champion the end-user at all times, and must be able to communicate effectively with engineers, scientists, executives, and other stakeholders.This position reports to the Product Lead for the Recommendations Product Group and can be based in either the Lehi, UT or San Francisco, CA offices.

Who you are...
5+ years of technical product management experience with a proven track record of shipping great products experienceExperience working with complex software systems, large data sets, and machine learningFamiliarity with agile software development, data-driven iteration/innovation, Recommendation Systems, Big Data architecture highly valuedDeeply curious about data science, big data, and genealogy.
