The Information and Cyber Security (ICS) team is embarking on a multi-year initiative to improve Wells Fargo’s resiliency to the tactics, and techniques used by today’s most advanced adversaries. ICS is looking to bring together a multi-functional, agile team to partner across disciplines in order to create a more secure future for the company and its customers. The Enterprise Application Security Program enhances the ability of the development organization to consistently deliver highly functional applications that are secure and resilient against attack by developing policies, processes, and tools to proactively embed security into Wells Fargo-developed applications. The person in this role is a key member of the Secure Software Group who will develop an exciting new solution to detect malicious code introduced during the build process – resolving aspects of the trusting trust problem. 

Primary job responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design, development, and implementation of custom software that validates the integrity of build artifacts.
  • Leveraging lexing and parsing technology to develop software that deconstructs JAR files and other build artifacts
  • Identifying or creating an assertions management solution
  • Integrating the solution into a CI/CD pipeline
  • Submitting patents, as appropriate, to protect your inventions
  • Collaboration with an offshore development team


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Java experience
  • 7+ years of experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of parse server administration instructions correctly in documentation
  • 1+ year experience with bytecode manipulation & analysis tools like ASM
  • 1+ year experience with lexers and parsers
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • An industry-standard technology certification


Other Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years of development experience in a project following Agile methodology
  • 3+ years of C#/.NET software development experience
  • Understanding of Common Intermediate Language (CIL)
  • Experience with Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools like Fortify, Checkmarx, or Semgrep
  • Experience with code signing
