We're looking for a writer who can work with Creative Directors, Art Directors and Marketing partners to create fresh copy and ideas across several projects, including video scripts, social posts, ad campaigns, site copy, and more.
The copywriter will lead the quality of any copywriting assigned, ensuring that it follows brand and voice standards, creative excellence, and that it delivers on the goals of the project.
Being able to write amazing copy is a must, and so is being able to develop new creative directions. We are looking for fresh thinking across many media—so come prepared to break out of the usual molds and push for big thinking! You will work directly with marketing and testing partners to better understand our customers, develop and collaborate on marketing and testing strategies, and be a valued partner on a dynamic team. We prefer that you are someone who can take complex information and concepts and distill them into clear communications that are easily understood by our target audience(s).

What You'll Do:

Work with the team to develop the tone and communication strategy for education and conversion content consistent with the Ancestry brandBuild copy consistency across all mediums by understanding the heart of our brand identity, and standardizing copy that meets all our internal legal, cultural, and brand requirements.Plan creative ways to market our products, offerings, and updates through multiple social channels, performance ads, and audio/video content.Work with a team of researchers, developers, analysts and product and marketing experts to translate marketing, testing and conversion strategies into creative solutionsGain an understanding of the motivations and behaviors of our target audience(s), to increase the relevance and effectiveness of your ideas

Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or equivalent experience3+ years of professional copywriting experienceExcellent writing, editing and conceptual skills demonstrating an ability to be very clear and concise in communicationExperience with testing and conversion-related creative and direct-response marketing
