Do you love watching engaging video, no matter the screen? Motivated by brands that tell a compelling story to reach consumers? We are looking for a data-driven media professional with 4+ years hands-on experience managing video-focused brand campaigns to help guide Ancestry's evolution towards a consumer and brand-focused media strategy.
You will report to the Director of Brand Media, and you will manage all aspects of media planning including strategy, buying, execution, analysis and optimization of TV and Streaming investments. You will also help with the exploration and evaluation of other new channels.
In addition to having solid media strategy and investment planning experience, you will also have a passion and talent for ideation, creativity and compelling storytelling to create engaging messaging across multiple high-profile branded content opportunities.
What You'll Do:
Create and manage all TV and streaming campaigns for concept, strategy, audience understanding requirements including financial reporting and forecasting to ensure maximum efficacy in investmentGather, commission and oversee brand and consumer insight data and channel specific trends to inform future projectsWork with media agencies, vendor partners and in-house teams on buying and execution to ensure data visibility, reporting and measurement accuracy, and influence insights in response to the media strategyIdentify creative effectiveness to allow creative teams to uncover messaging and creative opportunities aligning to goalsOversee in partnership with Analytics and Brand Measurement Teams the learning and interpretation of performance data to improve and scale investment effortsRequest and review, media proposals, media plan/buying details and recommendationsAudit and evaluate media performance and identify necessary media opportunities to pressure test our investmentsAdvocate, support and help prioritize the logistical ad implementation requirements (assets, tagging) for campaigns, in partnership with Ad Ops teams
Who You Are:
You have 4+ years' experience in TV planning/buying (national broadcast, cable, direct-response) or comparable media planning experienceBA/BS in Marketing, Communications, History, Business, or EconomicsExperience in brand and audience-based media planning principlesComfortable interpreting data, deriving relevant media insights and using them to inform future campaignsHigh experience in Excel (pivot tables)Passion for the video medium, current industry news and evolving trends
