Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Algorithm Engineer for this direct-hire role in Pleasant Grove, UT. In this role, the Tracking Algorithms Engineer will work with the software and hardware development teams to develop algorithms for the optimal performance of software systems across the organization's suite of products. Responsibilities:
  • The Senior Algorithm Engineer will work with a cross functional team focused on detection, estimation, tracking, and machine learning to deploy high performance algorithms that run in real time
  • Works extensively with tracking mechanisms and equipment
  • As a Senior Algorithm Engineer, you will develop system-level requirements and solutions to identify and alert against threats using radar, optical, and other sensor data
  • Design and develop algorithms/solutions in optical tracking, multi-sensor tracking, optical classification, multi-sensor classification, machine learning, image processing, estimation, and optimization to solve critical problems
  • The Senior Algorithm Engineer develops simulation and test methodology and metrics to assess system performance

Job Requirements:


  • Master's or PhD-level education in Mathematics or related field
  • Experienced in solving problems in logic, mathematics, and dynamics
  • Experienced in statistical concepts
  • Experienced in developing complex software
  • Experienced in sensor products, sensor fusion is a plus
  • Experienced in implementing algorithms with C/C++ Programming
  • Skilled in analyzing large data sets using Python and/or MATLAB
  • Experienced in areas of prediction, tracking, classification, image processing
  • Relocation to Utah is required, as some onsite work is needed
