Director of Product Management, DNA San Francisco, CA
Ancestry seeks a talented Director of Product Management, DNA to join our team. This leader will play a key role in defining our product strategy and leading a product management team responsible for building, growing, and maintaining our portfolio of DNA products that help consumers learn more about who they are and where they come from. These products rely on innovative ways of leveraging our genomic, relationship, and content networks to deliver meaningful discoveries for all customers.
The OpportunityCome join Ancestry and lead the product team for the world's leading consumer genomics business. You will lead a team of highly talented product managers who are introducing and maintaining DNA products to help customers discover, craft, and connect around their family stories. You will partner and collaborate with industry leading  science and engineering teams, develop a vision and roadmap to define the next generation of our DNA products, and ensure successful product management for on-market products and new products. You will have the ability to tap into our network of 20+ million DNA customers, 30+ billion historical records, and 120+ million family trees to build new products and features for our DNA customers. What you will doProvide product management leadership that will: Help define the strategy and roadmap for the DNA product that will enable consumer features through innovative applications.
Provide product management support for some of the world’s most exciting research and development projects.
Recruit and mentor a stellar team of product managers to manage the vision and roadmap for our DNA product.
Collaborate with science and engineering teams to build scalable systems for our rapidly growing consumer genomic & family history data sets.
Advocate for adhering to security and privacy principles in the design, development, and operations of the platform.    Partner and communicate effectively with upper management, project leaders, external partners and stakeholders on project status, product strategy and execution metrics. 
Who You AreYou are a strategic thinker who can effectively envision and communicate the big picture platform, identify how to best fit into it, and empower the team to deliver. You have the following skills and experiences: At least 5 years experience driving user growth in consumer tech products, with at least 3+ years as a Product leader.
Proficient in agile product development methodologies.
A customer-centric approach to product management with a strong desire to engage and delight users in a world-class customer experience.
Demonstrated experience in A/B testing and Multivariate Testing.Analytical, with the ability to make product feature decisions using both quantitative and qualitative data.
Experience crafting a product strategy and vision, and translating that into an agile & iterative product roadmap.Excellent communication skills to collaborate with customers, peers, colleagues, and executives.About AncestryHelping people discover their story is at the heart of ours.
