You belong at Ancestry.Product Manager, Marketing TechnologyThe Opportunity: The Marketing Technology domain collaborates with Marketing and Product stakeholders to define and execute on Ancestry’s Marketing strategy and implements it including the cross functional alignment that is needed to take technology-oriented initiatives from concept to launch. As a Product Manager on this team, you will be aligning Marketing Technology with business goals and spearheading the effort to constantly augment our digital marketing capabilities. With a bias for action and solid grasp of current marketing tools and strategies, you will realize our vision of utilizing technology to make our marketing programs more effective and efficient. You will also have the opportunity to learn and grow your career across multiple martech disciplines. This position is based in San Francisco, CA office. We are currently 100% remote. Our plan is to return to the office in Q1 2022 with a hybrid work model. Our offices are currently open for employees who wish to work onsite on a voluntary basis. If you are not local to the San Francisco Bay Area, this role will require relocation to the area. Relocation assistance is available.
What you will do:
Work closely with marketing to understand business goals and come up with innovative product solutions to provide a strong end customer experience and deliver against marketing metrics and objectives.Utilizing our martech stack (CMS-AEM, Tracking & Monitoring Tools, in-house proprietary tools), you will drive continuous product improvements and inform the product roadmap with new ideas based on ongoing research, emerging standards, market/competitive analysis, and product performance, providing strategic direction to teams of engineers.Write user stories and prioritize the backlog for engineering teams building and implementing marketing technology using agile methodologiesDefine success metrics and reporting needs to monitor post-launch performance to drive incremental improvements.Act as the liaison between Marketing and Technology before, during, and after the integration and configuration of third-party solutions.Communicate, collaborate and work effectively with business partners in other organizations, guiding cross-functional teams to ensure all teams are coordinated throughout the product development process.Represent your team in communication with marketing, engineering, and product leadership.
Who you are:
You are someone who looks at disconnected systems, user interfaces, processes, and marketing campaign efforts as an opportunity to connect, iterate, and learn from.Creative problem solver with a history of performance excellence with a balance of big-picture thinking and detailed execution.Ideally, you were a marketer who moved over to product management, thus blending both your marketing expertise and product management skills to develop highly utilized marketing technologies. You understand the marketer's objectives.You have a solid understanding of the marketing landscape, coupled with deep knowledge of SDLC (Software development lifecycle) and Agile methodologies.Strong track record of developing and maintaining highly collaborative cross- functional relationships and a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives including the integration and configuration of third-party marketing technologies (i.e., MarTech)Bachelor's degree in computer science, or similar discipline.
