You will develop reports and scorecards to analyze measurements and other metrics on scheduled and ad hoc bases. You will work with several teams to identify and conceptualize data-driven insights to drive improved monitoring of customer performance and enhanced processes.Excellent technical skills are necessary to produce the right insights and to access information from data sources across the organization. This role also involves unleashing the insights hidden within the data and explaining their relevance to non-technical collaborators, helping achieve applicable results.
Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:
Analyze data; explain trends and variances to support management decisionsPresent recommendations by creating dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses that explain what happened and whyLook for the next new opportunity to benefit AncestryWork with colleagues and peers to guide solutions and identify opportunities for innovationIdentify major problems/essential knowledge and translate them into technical analyses by working with company partnersLook for improvements in tools and techniques to improve several aspects of Ancestry's needsPerform analysis to identify trends, variances, and possible causesShow commitment to providing excellent data
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a preference for Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a quantitative disciplineExperience with visualization software (e.g., Tableau) and database languages (e.g., SQL)
Research mindsetTeam player who is motivated and responsibleDesign, written and verbal skills; ability to present data and its effectsAdvanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas)Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB, or pandas)Basic financial knowledgeAdditional Information:
