Ancestry is looking for an Engineering Project Manager to join our team. This is an opportunity to join our DNA operations business in a collaborative role with all partners where you will help design technologies for Ancestry, the largest Direct to Consumer (DTC) genomics company in the world. You will become an essential part of a team that advocates for engineering excellence, creativity and new ideas.The OpportunityOur DNA Operations team is looking for an Engineering Project Manager, reporting to the Head of DNA Operations Engineering. We are looking for you, with experience managing large engineering projects, working with your partners, and partner suppliers and manufactures, in the US and internationally. This will give you the opportunity to create needed operations for our expanding DNA needs.

What You Will Do:

Drive project identification using a data-driven decision process, use the data to develop the scope of a project, and lead/oversee that project through delivery.You will ensure that project results meet the required standards of technical quality, scale, and costs according to defined scope and goals.You will track development schedules, project management plans and keep up a high velocity. Identify possible issues, progress and successesYou will create work instructions; develop and increase internal and 3rd party processes.You will work with supply chain to identify and correct deviations from quality standardsYou will work with internal operations, program management, product and Marketing groups and outside partners to provide complex supply chain projects to the business.You will build relationships with technical teams

Who You Are:

You have a history of using Six Sigma and Lean principles to continuous improvement in office and manufacturing environmentsYou have developed and document, user-friendly, visual work instructions and other engineering documents.You have experience with document control systemsYou have filtered and distilled meaningful information for the right audienceYou have demonstrated creative and prioritization capabilitiesYou have dealt well with development cyclesYou have experience delivering projects using internal recourses and outside partnersA Bachelor's degree is required (Prefer MBA or PMP)5 years of experience leading engineering projects;Understanding of quality and regulatory systems
