With support, the AncestryProGenealogists graphic designer lays out family history stories, books, and other publications products in existing templates. You will work with the publications director, other designers, writers, and editors to maintain a consisten, quality, tone, and brand for all client projects. You will also contribute good layout and design technique and creative ideas to improve and ensure a high-quality family story for our clients. You will report to the Director of Publications and Internal Communication.

What You'll Do:

Receive tasks and feedback from manager and other designer(s).Ensure each product follows template and style guidelines and is consistent in quality and tone.Find and create reusable templates, images, and graphics to extend to all projects to improve the design process.Work with researchers, designers, writers, and editors to make necessary revisions.Manage time and meet deadlines for multiple projects..Help maintain a database of assets to help improve the production of family stories.Help produce AncestryProGenealogists marketing and client communication materialsMeet or exceed the expected billable hours target.Communicate with graphics team members, writers, researchers, managers, and other ProGen employees.Help develop new products.Contribute to the growth of ProGen: Participate in company-level meetings, committees, projects, and beta tests.

Who You Are:

Experience in a publication environment.3- 5 years of experience in graphic design.Working knowledge of Adobe software, e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat on Mac platform.UX/UI or multimedia experience preferredInterest in genealogy or family history research preferred
