Ancestry is looking for a Social Media Senior Specialist to join our Global Communications team. This position will report to the Director of Global Social Media.

What You'll Do:

Aligned with the business and Global communications strategy, manage day-to-day U.S. social media activity for Ancestry’s earned and owned social channels, with a primary focus on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTokManage U.S. social editorial content calendarCollaborate with internal and external agency teams on content creation plans and execution, post scheduling and social content boostingFacilitate best-in-class community management including collaboration with the Member Services Social team on customer support, moderating daily community activity, identifying brand love or customer storytelling opportunities and escalating risksSupport social influencer programming including partner identification, contracting and content creation Work with internal creative team on earned and owned social content production including creative brief development, asset creation, legal reviews, risk assessment and simple editing templates within PhotoshopReport to team on content performance and social media trends using Khoros (social enterprise tool)Keep a pulse on relevant U.S. news cycles and social platform developments

Who You Are:

2-4 years experience with B2C social media marketing, content development or relevant digital marketing backgroundPassion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. LinkedIN proficiency is a plusKnowledge of current and future trends in the digital content and social media spaceStrong creative skills, including copywriting, editing, and visual directionComfort being an on screen personality for Ancestry on TikTok or other social platforms Flexibility to navigate time zones to collaborate daily with global team members, directly reporting to a manager in the UK and working in concert with key partners in San Francisco and Lehi, Utah Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesInitiative to identify areas to contribute, collaborate or take ownershipExperience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google DriveExperience using Social Enterprise Software (eg. Khoros, Hootsuite, Sprinklr) Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premier Pro)  or other image design software (eg. Canva)
