The Sr. Program Manager for Global Program Management will be responsible for executing an integrated approach to identify, prioritize, and successfully execute a global portfolio of programs. This position will have ownership over the E2E process of coordination and execution on various marketing, product, and technology initiatives across Ancestry, including participating at the point of discovery, ensuring products and services are designed with the customer and serviceability in mind. The candidate must be able to understand the business, develop and communicate a plan to stakeholders at all levels, and drive for on-time delivery. Additionally, the Sr. Program Manager will be instrumental in establishing industry best practices and leading the documentation of internal processes. By identifying operating efficiencies using process improvement principles, the Sr. Program Manager will be critical in identifying our return on investments and realizing cost savings.

What You'll Do:

Work with all levels of the organization to communicate portfolio of initiatives and ensure timely execution of core deliverables.Ensure informed decisions and governance by bringing together all project collaborators and processes in a unified view of project, program, and portfolio status.Partnering with Business Owners and Finance to ensure initiative projections versus actuals are tied to portfolio initiatives.Establish and extend best practices enterprise-wide by continuously iterating on project management processes and capturing lessons learned, resulting in operating efficiencies as the organization matures.Align capacity to the right projects at the right time, ensuring individual resources are fully leveraged and requirements are clearly understood.Develop and manage ongoing communications with cross-functional team members and senior management in Engineering, Marketing, Member Services, Finance, Product Management, Creative, etc.

Who You Are:

Must have 10+ years demonstrated experience in program and/or project management while leading global cross-functional efforts. Prefer 5+ years working in Marketing, Product or Customer Service organizations.5+ years in a Program Manager role preferred.Experience working with developers or engineers and leading technical projects a plus.Bachelor’s degree or related experience required, Relevant PgM certifications preferred.Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to track results for several projects at any given time.Need to quickly assess how initiatives align with company goals, potential pitfalls and document contingency plans.Strong written, presentation and oral communication skills with proven ability to build relationships and foster collaboration with all levels of the organization.Experience working with project management tools like Workfront, Confluence, Wiki, etc.Ability to adapt to a fluid and rapidly changing environment.Proficient with program and project management principles and practices including Agile principles. PMP/PMI, Six Sigma or Agile SCRUM certification a plus.Must be comfortable leading informally across the organization to challenge the status quo and develop better ways to enhance the customer experience; Operational Excellence experience a plus.
