RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in immediate need of a Principal JavaScript Engineer for a direct-hire role near Salt Lake City, UT. This role is highly collaborative and will lead efforts to bring the best in applications to the organization's customer base. This position will be hands-on to bring improvements to the code base in an Agile environment. Responsibilities Include:
  • Principal JavaScript Engineer will lead and mentor other engineers on the team with a goal for continuous improvement and consistently applying best practices
  • Plan and implement proven test-driven development principles to drive high quality software
  • As a Principal JavaScript Engineer, you will collaborate cross-functionally with business analysts, product managers, UI/UX designers and backend engineers on the team and on other teams within the organization to come up with the best solutions for users and best practices for the organization
  • Communicate effectively in a remote working environment, including with offshore team members
  • Principal JavaScript Engineers enable the team to stay focused on meeting commitments with an emphasis on quality
  • This engineering position will focus on full stack needs and participate in forming the architecture of the applications


Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred
  • 8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with strong full-stack experience
  • Mastery of one or more object-oriented programming language (preferably in Node)
  • Mastery of one or more modern scripting language (JavaScript)
  • Mastery of one or more modern application framework (Vue.js, Node, React, and Angular)
  • Mastery of one or more testing frameworks (Jasmine, Jest, Mocha, Chai)
  • Hands on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MongoDB, MySQL)
  • Experience with cloud technologies and DevOps (AWS, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Excellent ability to mentor others
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipeline, including automated testing using TDD
  • Must be authorized to work within the US without sponsorship
