Job Title: Sales-Applications Engineer
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: Direct hire, full time
Pay Range: $65-85KYR DOE + commission
Travel, up to 40% North America
Training: 3-6 months in Europe (as allowable)
This is an exciting new position for a growing company by proactively developing sales leads, establishing, maintaining excellent customer relations and selling new and existing company products and services in the USA and Canada. The position will utilize approximately a 70-30 engineering to sales effort.
Research and prospect for potential customers (phone calls, e-mails, conferences and tradeshows, network within the industry, etc)
Develop new accounts from leads and prospecting efforts
Call on prospects and customers for the purpose of securing orders.
Make customer visits, demonstrate products, and assist at trade shows and exhibits.
Help in developing product promotions and demonstrations both in house and in plant.
Prepare proposals, technical evaluation of applications and requests for quotations.
Work with customers to develop layouts and perform site visits to investigate the feasibility of applications.
Negotiate prices and terms of sales and service agreements.
Prepare demonstration videos/presentations to customers.
Have the ability to develop and cultivate business through diverse channels such as Users, Engineering Firms, OEM, Distributors & Contractors.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree.
Ability to be on the road visiting prospective and current customers approximately 40% of the time.
Experience: 5-10 years of proven track record of success in outside sales preferably in the Food industry, but also robotics, packaging or processing industries in general would be considered.
Good organizational, canvassing/territory management and closing skills with a definite focus on customer satisfaction.
Professional presentation skills
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and problem solving abilities.
Understanding of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and CRM systems
Dependability, positive attitude and a strong work ethic
