Job Description

As the Director of Product, you will oversee the cross-functional efforts of getting new or updated software versions architected, developed, and successfully out to market. By working with various Senior Leaders across different departments, you will have a holistic view and an actionable view of what it takes to deliver a complete product experience for FairCom’s database software solutions (FairCom DB, FairCom Edge, and c-treeRTG).

Here is What You’d Be Doing:

  • Build a product management culture that, with great judgment, balances product intuition, design inspiration, market assessment, and data validation for creating successful database software solutions.
  • Become acquainted with and strive to be a Subject Matter Expert in all products offered by FairCom and other product alternatives in the DBMS industry.
  • Monitor a product from market research to conceptualization with the Chief Architect, to planning, to development, to release, and to market results.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to gain market insight, gauge the success of product lines, look for value gaps, and continually evaluate pricing models based on industry data.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leadership to ensure that roadmap planning and sprints are equitable to expected timelines for the product committee and report updates regularly to Marketing and Sales for effective future planning within their perspective departments.
  • Benchmark FairCom DBMS solutions with competitors and deliver results to the product committee for effective decision making
  • Run all Product Committee meetings and project manage any decisions that come out of said meetings.
  • Define, track, and report success metrics for all product lines.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B Technology or Software Product Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management leadership Roles with proven track record.
  • Strong track record that shows successful product strategies and programs with measurable impacts on revenue contribution.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Product Management, Business, or Computer Science.
  • Strong proficiency in Product Management and Project Management Software Tech Stacks.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration or other advanced Product Management/Technical education a plus.
  • Deep understanding of concepts of a typical IT infrastructure, like servers, storage, business applications (ERP, CRM, BI, etc.), and the role a database plays in it.
  • 1+ years of experience in the Database Management Software Industry.
  • Experience with the following: FairCom DB, c-treeRTG, FairCom EDGE, IoT/IIoT.
