Insights & Analytics is core to how we deliver extraordinary value to technology leaders in support of their skills transformations and position Pluralsight as their go-to partner. The Director of Insights & Analytics leads the business of delivering a best-in-industry reporting and analytics suite helping our customers understand how skills are evolving in their company and how they can accelerate and ensure success. You’ll make it possible to deliver timely insights to our customers by deeply understanding their roles and needs and meeting them where they are. You’ll hire, support, and develop product management, product design, and data product roles while working with engineering to prioritize product initiatives, ensuring the full cycle of product development and delivery runs optimally. You’ll spend significant time on strategic initiatives, cross-team collaboration, and future planning, along with providing effective career development and coaching.
What You’ll Own
Set product vision and strategy for Insights & Analytics, aligning with Skills product vision and strategy and prioritizing initiatives to address evolving business and customer needs
Utilize and evangelize a customer-centric mindset and discovery framework to lead teams in consistently and iteratively delivering value
Establish, monitor, and work with teams to deliver and report on quarterly OKRs and operational KPIs in alignment with company priorities
Recruit, hire, and develop talent, across Insights & Analytics teams
Guide Product Manager(s) in setting and aligning product strategy and feature prioritization
Partner closely with Data Science, Data Platform, and Data Engineering teams to develop the data strategy to support appropriate insights and analytics experiences
Analyze competitive landscape to ensure best-in-industry experiences
Foster positive, collaborative relationships with other functional areas within the organization (Skills Platform, Skills Development, Revenue, and Product Marketing)
Experience You’ll Need
3+ years of prior experience leading teams
8+ years in product management/leadership, preferably with data-driven and/or enterprise SaaS products
Experience aligning and prioritizing product development to business and customer outcomes
Experience creating product vision, strategy, and roadmap that; adeptly balance customer, revenue and technical needs including ability to make hard trade-offs with imperfect and incomplete information
Strong operational skills; experience building and simplifying complex processes
Strong technical background and experience working closely with engineering, architecture, and data teams
Strong leadership development experience and career development and coaching experience
Expert problem solving skills
Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to inspire teams around common goals
