RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, UT. Associate in the Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO) business unit, providing specialist production support for the ETO engineering products for the firm. Work as a specialist in AppBank Operations to provide production support for ETO Engineering products used across the firm like Fabric (Monitoring), Pulse (Metrics), Big Data Logging Service (Logging) etc. Handle alert escalations from Level 1 support and resolve them, including escalating to developers or external vendors or engaging the appropriate infrastructure teams in case of an infrastructure issue. Provide technical support to users on Production connectivity issues or Configuration changes, raised as user support tickets or escalated via the escalation hotline. Work actively with team members to analyze and resolve application issues. Responsible for production incidents and effectively communicate with users, application owners, and senior stakeholders across all areas. Works actively with team members in AppBank and App Dev to analyze and resolve application issues. Identifies defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of code debugging and log analysis. Resolves incidents and effectively communicates with users, application owners and senior stakeholders across all areas. Improves application stability and performance by observing patterns and recurring failures and/or issues, and advises application owners on permanent fixes accordingly. Builds and improves run books for generalists to minimize operational errors and gain efficiency. Develops reports that provide trending statistics to track and manage application health and support service performance. Documenting repetitive error resolutions in the form of run books for Level 1 to be able to handle the failures. Analyzes and quantifies the current trends in failure alerts and helps to transform the existing process to make it more efficient and cost-effective. Provide oversight to the Business Applications' production health and ensure timely action on any issue to avoid the downtime of critical applications.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience with: Production support handling mission critical applications; using Unix operating system to create files, move files, and write shell scripts; incident, problem and change management processes and practices; and debugging and resolving complex technical and user reported issues. Prior experience must include (2) years with: troubleshooting application issues including identifying defects, discrepancies, and trends by ways of code debugging and log analysis. Prior experience must include (1) year with: performing transformation to reduce risk and manual effort.
