Job Description
Varex Imaging is looking for a motivated, proactive engineer to help support existing products in our Continuing Engineering group. Our group helps reduce scrap, increase product quality, sustain existing products on a variety of product ranging from Mammography to CT applications. There are always interesting and challenging opportunities in production that require us to work together as a team and leverage each other's experience. Work closely with manufacturing operations, R&D and QA. We are a tight knit group that like to work hard and have fun as we help make our products better.

Job Description Summary
Join a dynamic digital X-ray imaging company supporting product improvements, designs and development in a manufacturing environment.
Use engineering principles and statistical methods to develop product and process improvements related to quality, reliability and yields in electronic imaging products. Implement and drive to completion these developed methods and procedures.

Reduce scrap, rework and customer returns by analyzing manufacturing processes and design. Conduct various engineering assignments that carry a high degree of complexity which will require independent action and decision.

Work with manufacturing operations and R&D in testing activities to ensure compliance to specifications and customer requirements and in root cause analysis.

Improve product reliability by performing HASS/HALT accelerated life testing and using analytical tools for early identification of potential problems. May propose changes in design or processes to improve system and/or process reliability.

Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Identifies replacements for EOL components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform root cause analysis on product/process failures, providing technical support and conclusions
* Conduct printed circuit board troubleshooting and root cause analysis to component level.
* Support design changes for PCBs, and component obsolescence
* Assist in the testing and analysis of medical X-Ray imaging products for release into the marketplace.
* Implement design and process improvements on existing product lines to help improve product quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
