Goal Zero is looking for a Sales Manager to lead our domestic sales efforts across specialty channels (Outdoor, Sporting Goods, Hardware, Consumer Electronics).  Primary focus will be working with our independent sales agencies to drive, challenge, mentor and partner in growing revenue and focusing assortments in strategic areas.  Prior experience leading an independent sales team in hardlines categories is preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as a resource and business partner in focusing our independent sales teams to maximize revenue and points of distribution across our Yeti Ecosystem line of products (portable power stations and solar panels)
  • Drive sales growth within a MAP policy environment
  • Highly effective in presenting to merchants and outside sales teams
  • Develop quarterly business plans across territories and key regional accounts
  • Manage select House accounts
  • Work closely with Sales Operations to ensure a high level of customer service
  • Provide quarterly forecasts across relevant channels
  • Ability to sell high-priced retail items up to $5,000
  • Work with Marketing to develop key in-store POP, and ensure Goal Zero has a strong representation online with select eCommerce partners
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate feedback from buyers, retailers, and independent sales reps on product assortments and marketing opportunities
  • Partner as a team player across internal departments to execute and complete new item set ups, optimize retail assortments, and ensure best-in-class execution of seasonal product launches 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work and succeed in a sales environment with multiple teams/priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and/or equivalent work experience required
  • 3+ years working in high growth product categories
  • Self-motivated
  • Skilled in analyzing inventory/sell thru reporting
  • Solid understanding of “retail math”
  • Ability to train individuals in technical products, and simplify to sell
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office – notably Excel and PowerPoint

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  

  • Open office environment
  • Trade show set-up, tear down and weekend work as needed to fulfill job responsibilities
  • Domestic travel up to 40% may be required
  • Occasionally requires lifting up to 50lbs
  • Position located at Bluffdale, UT Headquarters
